Spaceplayer is the art and music of Joe Maurone. Spaceplayer refers to two things. There's a saying that music is "the space between the notes." As a multi-instrumentalist, when people ask what instrument I play, I respond that I play "space." Hence, Spaceplayer.
It also refers to the style of music: open and expansive, spacy. Why? Because I need two lanes for driving and five feet of personal space in a crowd. Same for my music, which is so varied that one planet cannot contain it, no one genre can define it, and no one style can give it scope.
